POST GRADUATE DIPLOMA IN MANAGEMENT (PGDM)

The PGDM course is two years full time diploma programme approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) New Delhi with a sanction intake of 180. The course outline for PGDM follows a choice-based credit system. Essentials in Management are delivered through core courses. Electives in specialization core courses offer an opportunity to students to design their career by focusing on sector and functional combinations.

The course offers specialization in Finance and Marketing. Thus, our students can build competence in specific vertical across different functions. e.g. with Marketing core specialization student can select 3 subjects out of - B2B Marketing, Sales Marketing, Digital Marketing and Retail Management in Sem II , and in Sem III, one subject out of Personal Financial Planning And Wealth Management and Social Legislation For Managers.

Our Course fees include a Laptop/tablet that is given to our students along with the joining kit. This is coupled with 24X7 Wi-Fi connectivity within the campuses.

Eligibility of Candidate:

A candidate is considered eligible for the PGDM course if he/she has cleared the bachelor’s degree examination from any recognized university with a minimum of 50% marks (for General category) and a minimum of 45% marks (for Reserved Category), having Indian nationality. Reserved category candidate's application must be accompanied with relevant caste certificate and non- creamy layer certificate. Absence of such certificate at the time of submitting the Admission application forms for admission to the course disqualifies them from reserved category seats, and such candidates will be considered for open/general category.

Twenty percent (20%) of the sanctioned seats are treated as management quota seats.

Final year degree students, who have not received their result will be allowed to appear for the admission process, provided at the time of taking admission they have a certificate from their college/university about being a final year student awaiting result and must clear there final year degree fulfilling the eligibility criteria failing which they become disqualified and lose their admission.

A candidate can apply to the PGDM course if he/she has valid score in any one of the following competitive exam as per AICTE requirement – CMAT/CAT/XAT/MAT/ATMA/G-MAT/MAH-CET.

Candidates will be shortlisted for admission to its mentioned courses based on - Indira Common Admission Process (ICAP) - 2020: Admission to Indira Institute of Management PGDM will be based on performance of candidates in following categories of ICAP parameters:

Stage 1: Registration for ICAP

Candidates will fill up the ICAP online registration form for GD, PI and Counseling, available on www.icap.indiraedu.com

Stage 2 – Tentative GD/PI and Counseling Process Candidates will be required to be present in their choice of the city for ICAP process of GD, PI and Counseling. The process/schedule may be changed or modified depending upon situation and regulatory guidelines.

Stage 3 : Merit list for Admission Merit list along with waitlist for admission will be displayed on institute’s website and campus notice board. The schedule for Management Quota and vacant seats (if any) will be displayed on the ICAP website. After execution of merit list & thereafter the execution of wait merit list for seat remaining vacant after first merit list, any seat remaining vacant or becoming vacant due to cancellation before cutoff date will be filled up as institute level seat. The last date for admission (cutoff date) will be 10th August, 2020 as per AICTE directives as on date.

PGDM in Marketing Specialization focuses on the basics of marketing theory and its application in the current competitive environment. The need for customer relationship management and customer-specific strategy is better emphasized through case studies and assignments in various industrial sectors. Sales Management Personnel Sales are explained through the current practices of evaluating the contribution to the organization and improvement of market share rather than small volume achievement.

E Accounts Lab

The accounts computer lab is configured with the latest management software SPSS, Tally and CAPITALINE for students’ access. SPSS software has 10 user licenses. Indira has also subscribed to EBSCO database to provide the students and faculty with research based inputs.

IIMP has one of the finest collections of academic videos & CDs comprising of international & national titles at its video resource Center. INDIRA has tied up with Stanford University, Harvard Business Resources and the American Management association for the supply of the latest videos.
