RULES AND REGULATIONS

RULES AND REGULATIONS: 

The Shree Chanakya Education Society’s - Indira Institute of Management, Pune is an Autonomous Institute affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University. Under the Autonomous status, the examinations will be conducted by the Institute itself. The declaration of results and issuance of marksheet will also be done by the Institute only. However, the students will be getting the Degree certificate from the Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune-7.

EXAMINATION PATTERN:

A. MBA

  • The Institute will follow the CBCS System (Choice Based Credit System) in accordance with the rules and regulations of Savitribai Phule Pune University. The examinations shall be conducted as per the Rules and Regulations for MBA Programme approved by the Examination committee and Governing Body and also as per the Examination schemes approved by Board of Studies.
  • The students shall be evaluated for his/her academic performance in a Course through Comprehensive Concurrent Assessment (CCA) and Term End Assessments (TEA). The TEA is further split into Term End Written Examination (TEA-W) and Term End Practical Examination (TEA-P).
  • All the full credit (3credit) subjects will be of 100 Marks and will be evaluated through Comprehensive Concurrent Assessment, Term End Written Examination and Term End Practical Examination.
  • All the half (2credit) subjects will be of 50 marks and will be evaluated through Comprehensive Concurrent Assessment and / or Term End Written Examination.

B. BBA

  • All the four and three credit subject will be of 100 Marks and will be evaluated through Comprehensive Concurrent Assessment and Term End Written Examination.
  • The two credit subjects will be of 50 Marks and will be evaluated through Comprehensive Concurrent Assessment.

The Course teacher shall evaluate the performance of the students in the respective courses by any of the evaluation tools provided as follows:

B. BBA

The performance of the students in the respective courses shall be evaluated with help of various evaluation tools. Like Written / Class / Open Book Test, Case Studies, Report Writing, Power Point Presentations, Model Based – Poster Projects, Group Discussions and Viva Voce.

2. Term End Assessment Examinations (TEA):

A. MBA

At the end of each semester, there shall be a Tem End Examination. It shall be based on entire syllabus and will be further divided into 25 marks of Term End Written Exams (TEA-W) and 25 marks of Term End Practical Exams (TEA-P). The Practical / Viva Examination shall be conducted by External Industry Experts as per the examination schedule approved by the Examination Committee.

B. BBA

At the end of each semester, there shall be a Tem End Examination for every course. It shall be based on entire syllabus and will be 50 marks of Term End Written Exams

3. Pre-Qualification Criteria for Term End Assessment Examination: MBA & BBA

The student must meet the requirement of 75% attendance per semester per course for grant of the term. The IIMP shall have the right to withhold the student from appearing for examination of a specific course if the above requirement is not fulfilled.

4. Passing Criteria:

A. MBA

A student shall be said to have passed and earned the credits for a course if he/she earns minimum 50% in CCA, and 50% in TEA. Student needs to pass CCA and TEA separately.

B. BBA

A student shall be said to have passed and earned the credits for a course if he/she earns minimum 40% in CCA, and 40% in TEA and 40% overall marks in respective subject.

We are pleased to share that IIMP’s MBA Program has been accredited by National Board of Accreditation-NBA since 2003. The visit for the 5th Cycle is awaited in April 2024.
