Director's Profile

Dr. Pandit Mali is the director at the Indira Institute of Management, Pune. He is a gold medalist in B. Tech., a postgraduate in management from IRMA, Anand, and a doctorate in management from the University of Pune. His 27 years of experience include 9 years in various leadership positions in sales and marketing in the FMCG industry and 18 years in academia. He is also an approved Ph. D. guide for Savitribai Phule Pune University and North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon.

Dr. Mali is credited with bringing several innovative and path-breaking practices to the Indira Institute of Management, Pune, leading to the holistic development of budding managers. Under his leadership, IIMP has been ranked 33rd all over India by the Economic Times and has been awarded as the “Best Management Institute” at the World Education Congress 2012 held in Mumbai. He has successfully completed numerous corporate research and consulting assignments at INDIRA. Dr. Mali was a part of the Indian Merchants’ Chamber’s delegation to Canada in 2008 for exploration and strategic tie-ups in the education sector. Dr. Mali also visited Metropolitan State University, Denver, in 2013 and delivered a guest lecture on strategic management and brand management. Dr. Pandit Mali has been implementing autonomy at the Indira Institute of Management since 2019.

At the Asian Leadership Award 2022 held in Dubai, he was bestowed with the “Best Director Award.”.

He was conferred the Dewang Mehta “Best Teacher in Marketing Management” award by the 17th Business School Affaire held in Mumbai in 2008.

Dr. Mali’s areas of expertise include distribution and supply chain management and retail management.
