PGDM Induction 2017

Indira Institute of Management had organized- twelve days long- Induction Program – 2017 for the newly admitted PGDM Batch 2017-19 on the theme- “Success is a State of Mind”.

The program started with Inaugural Function wherein the Director of IIMP, Dr Pandit Mali spoke to the students. Dr. Mali talked about the objective of this induction program and advised the students to have a inquisitive and logical approach to learning and life, instead of getting driven by assumptions. Dr. S P Singh, Deputy Director IIMP extended a warm welcome and his best wishes to PGDM Batch 2017-2019

This year IIMP had invited Mr. Laxmikant Kulkarni, General Manager (Business Improvement), John Deere as a chief guest. His insights and interaction on the theme -Success is s State of Mind was really encouraging and motivating to our students. The new students had a very energetic interaction with the guest and they profusely thanked Mr. Kulkarni for the guidance at the beginning of their PGDM program.
Ms.Madhuri Sathe, Executive Director, Placements- IGI, conducted a session on placements and internship. During the session she briefed about the prevailing job scenario and career opportunities for management students.

Senior Alumni of IIMP were invited to campus to share their experience of campus to corporate and subsequent life in industry. Mr. Gaurang Soni, Mr. Saurav Gawas and Mr. Sudhanshu Kumar shared their experience and gave tips for leveraging the maximum from 2 years program and this ended with a meangingful Q&A session.

Outdoor management Training (OMT) – Towards the end of induction, OMT was organized outside the campus. Students played different management games in groups of 10, wherein they understood the nuances of leadership, team building and working in groups. The day ended with relevant debriefing by the faculty members.

In the course of induction program, Students got to understand each other and developed good bonding which would put them in good stead as far as the overall learning is concerned.
