Faculty Development Programme 19th – 21st Dec 2013

Indira Institute of Management along with Javadekar Educational Consultancy Services organized a three day Faculty Development Programme for the faculty members of the Indira Group of Institutes. The sessions were conducted by reputed corporate trainers and faculty teaching at various IIMs’ across the country.
The programme covered the following points -
  1. Creating connect with the students
  2. Enriching the learning experience of participants
  3. Exposure to different pedagogies adopted by faculty member
  4. How to create a new course outline and sessions
  5. Information on different resources and teaching materials available
  6. Developing oneself in the area of interest
  7. Adoption of unconventional methods for experiential learning

CARD Game to illustrate effective use of games to clarify concepts

AIRCRASH –  Group exercise to illustrate the concept of providing an interesting prelude to a topic by drawing out the best from the participants.

The Persuasive Pitch.

Participants will be asked to prepare a three minute pitch to get the buy in from the audience and feedback from facilitator will focus on the efficacy of their pitch.

Ball and String Game to illustrate the use of edutainment in pedagogy. Active involvement of students in competitive games to bring out the best of coordinating and collaborating across silos.
All this, without losing the sanctity of learning.
