The basic objectives of an M.B.A. course are:

  • To provide the country a steady stream of competent young men and women with necessary knowledge, skills, values and attitudes to occupy positions of management and administration in business, industry, public system and the government.
  • To impart the students latest and relevant knowledge from the field of management theory and practice.
  • To provide opportunities to the students for developing necessary managerial skills.
  • To impart/ develop the right kind of values and attitude to function effectively in Managerial/ administrative positions.

In the second semester, a student shall select a special subject, from the following Functional areas:-

The MBA program at IIMP is developed and defined with the help of IIMP’s Governance Philosophy and with the focus of today’s corporate understanding. Program Educational Objectives (PEO) and Program Outcomes (PO) for the course are therefore summarized as:

Post Graduate in Management from Institute of Rural Management Anand (IRMA), Dr. Pandit Mali, heading Indira Institute of Management, Pune (IIMP) as Director; is a gold medalist in B.Tech and Post Graduate in Management from Institute of Rural Management Anand (IRMA). After a meaningful corporate career in sales and marketing with FMCG Industry for about 9 years; he shifted to Academics in 2004.

He is a recipient of Dewang Mehta Best Teacher in Marketing Management Award, and is credited for bringing in several innovative practices in IIMP leading to holistic development of budding managers. He has successfully completed numerous corporate research and consultancy assignments at Indira.

Dr. S.P. Singh is Science graduate, first class with distinction and MBA with specialization in computers management. Dr. Singh is a Microsoft Certified Professional. Has authored book on C++ ,and coauthored Cases in Management. His articles and research papers are published in refereed journals and leading newspapers. Sir, tries to inculcate the research mind set among faculty and students. He is working assiduously to consolidate the Entrepreneurship cell (E-Cell) at IIMP. His name is fondly remembered by the ALUMNI because of his continuous engagement with them. Carries experience of 18 years in entrepreneurial ventures and academics.

He is on panel of IBMRD A’nagar as Research Advisor. Dr. Singh is currently engaged in Consultancy and MDP assignments with corporate clients. He has chaired National and International conferences & panel discussions. His international exposure includes assignments in Singapore & Dubai.
Dr. S. P. Singh was awarded with Best Professor in Information Technology at the Dewang Mehta B-School Excellence Awards – Nov 2012.

Dr. Pallavi has a rich experience to her credit from Industry as well as Academics.

She has four years of experience in the industry which involves areas like Channel and territory management, corporate sales, direct sales and training. She has an experience of both types of markets i.e. business to business as well as business to customer markets. She has worked with MNC’s in telecom and automation field like Birla AT& T And TATA Honeywell Ltd.
For last fourteen years she is in the field of Academics and has taught various subjects from Marketing and General Specializations. Her core subjects of teaching are Marketing Management, Consumer Behaviour, Services Marketing, Business to Business marketing and Quantitative Techniques.

She has written many research papers and case studies. To mention a few, her co-authored case study presented at GSMC 17, organized by IIM– Raipur is published in the ET select Cases book of selected 25 case studies and also listed on the ET website. Her paper on “Branding of services: It’s effect on non-aided management institute” has won a best India brand paper award at the international conference organized by IMT, Gaziabad and given her a chance to present the same paper in the international conference on ‘ Doing Business in India ‘ at Greenwich , London.

Dr. Pallavi has completed B.E. – Electronics from VIT, Pune and MBA in Marketing from Pune University. She has completed her PhD in Marketing Management under guidance of Late Dr. Dilip Sarwate.

She is recipient of the 2017 BBC Knowledge Educational Leader Award for Outstanding Faculty in Marketing Management.
She has successfully completed a four month residential Faculty Development Program from the prestigious – Indian Institute of Management, Ahmadabad (IIM-A) in the year 2012.

She is a Certified Balance Score Card Professional and is registered as a Mentor for center for small and medium enterprise.
For last eleven years she is associated with Indira Institute of Management, Pune as Head Of Department, MBA.
She has written many research papers and case studies which are published in the reputed books like ET Select Cases and also given her opportunity to present it in the countries like UK.

Sanjay Bhāle has done MSc (Applied Chemistry) and MBA-CSM (chemical sales & marketing management). He has Industrial experience in varied fields – chemical, pharmaceuticals (manufacturing and quality-control), IT/ITES (business development). He received his PhD in management in 2004 and since then he is in academics. He has served management institutes including AACSB accredited management institutes. His teaching area includes Strategy Management; Business Ethics; CRM; Business Government & Society. His research focuses on- Sustainable Economic Development, Business Ethics, Social Entrepreneurship. He is a PhD supervisor at University of Pune (SPPU) and Symbiosis International University. He is Post-Doc Fellow at XLRI Jamshedpur. .

Dr. Punam Bhoyar is a post graduate in computer science from Amravati University and completed her doctoral degree from Dr. BAMU Aurangabad University. She has a strong academic foundation. She pursued multiple job portfolios with blend of experience including research, academics and administration. While doing her MCA she got a very good exposure to research in the areas of Image processing. Her interest in Image processing further lead to research and award of the doctoral degree for her thesis in Image segmentation. She has published papers in several journals and conferences of international repute. She is also editorial board member and reviewer of reputed journals.

Her passion for teaching made her to venture into academics. Her expertise includes Data Warehousing and Data Mining, IT platforms and Programming. She has also received research grants from Pune University.

His recent association was with Videocon Telecommunications Ltd where he successfully launched the Baroda zone prepaid business as ASM prepaid sales. Also worked in Bharti Airtel and HUL (then HLL) in the Top products div., Pidilite Industries, Indiacom Directories Ltd.Mr. Dipanjay Bhalerao has also hands on Experience in the Latest fields of Buying like Reverse Auctions and traditional areas of buying as well while working in with Indiamarkets (India’s then largest e-buying platform). As a special assignment with Thermax he was instrumental & successful in the cost-reduction projectof the water purifier product development.He has been twice awarded GOLD MEDAL by COO (GUJRAT) for his market winning performance in Bharti Airtel.He is recipient of Merit award by Lions club & MP Board during Academics.During MBA he won the All India contest for Solo Singing organized by Symbiosis Institute in pune in 1998, state level singing contest by Colgate Company in pune.

In the last role at Cummins, he was Head- Stores & Spares Business, prior to that worked as Group Leader – Procurement- Finished Parts, was also a leader in ACE (Accelerated Cost Efficiency) for Fabricated Parts

His core areas are, Supply Chain Management, Safety, HSE, Six Sigma , Kanban, Oracle , MRP, Cost reduction, SCOT (Supply Chain Ownership Team)

She has also worked as a Program Director (MBA) for the batch 2008 -2010. She has also worked as Project Officer at NITRA and ATIRA, Ahmedabad for around 5 years.
